White field beans, also known as broad beans, are a time-honored staple in traditional diets around the world. With their creamy white color and distinctive flattened shape, they bring both nourishment and versatility to the kitchen.

Packed with plant-based protein, dietary fiber, and essential minerals like iron, magnesium, and folate, these beans are a powerhouse of nutrition. Their mild, nutty flavor and buttery texture make them ideal for a variety of dishes—from hearty soups and wholesome stews to Mediterranean-style dips, flavorful salads, and comforting curries.

Store white field beans in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from moisture and direct sunlight. For longer shelf life, keep them in the refrigerator during hot or humid weather. Once cooked, refrigerate the beans in a covered container and consume within 3–4 days, or freeze them for up to a month.

White field beans should be soaked overnight before cooking. Simmer on the stovetop for 45–60 minutes or pressure cook for 4–5 whistles until tender. Add salt towards the end and use them in soups, stews, salads, curries, or dips
