Curry Leaves - Most ignored condiment!

As children, most of us would have picked up the curry leaves from any dish, and kept it aside to be discarded as waste.
Some of us learnt to eat it as we grew up. Some still have not.
It is therefore the most ignored of condiments!

Curry Leaves is almost ubiquitous in Indian cuisine, particularly in the South.
A typical tadka or tempering in Indian cuisine involves throwing in some curry leaves.

Some of us have them growing in the backyard, so it means stepping out into the yard, before tempering.
Most of us living in cities will buy a handful for 10-20 rupees from the vegetable vendor or she will graciously throw them in there along with your large purchase order.

But the nutritional benefits are aplenty!
Being almost a green, it is very low on calories and adds fibre to your meal.
They are known to be an excellent source of natural calcium, hence particularly beneficial for women to prevent osteoporosis!
The minerals in the leaves help with sugar management, digestion and more.

Sadly, it is one of the most chemicalized of greens.

And now, we introduce a quick and easy way to bring organic Curry Leaf into your diet.
That is what Bio Basics Curry Leaf Chutney Powder can help you with.
Imagine, we can add this to our rice or millets and make a quick meal.
All its ingredients are organically grown or naturally sourced.
Dried Curry Leaves, Chillies, Coriander, Cumin, Red Gram, Black Gram, Pepper, Salt.

Add the Bio Basics Curry Leaf Powder to your favorite rice, mix well.
Throw groundnuts in for a bite. Do the tadka or tempering on the side and add to this.
And your tasty, healthy meal is ready. Almost a no-cook meal!

Pair it with a boiled egg or any plant protein (my favorite is Rajma masala)
Some veggie sticks or salad completes the meal.
Enjoy!

Take a dekho.
